Sneaker Pimp: Nike Claw Vandal Hi

Nike Claw Vandal by Claw Money

Female sneaker fiends rejoice because the Claw Money Nike Vandal hits the streets today. Claw Money is the street moniker of a female graffiti legend known for her signature paw and claws.

So how do you go from tagging walls in NYC to creating kicks for Nike? The supreme diva of street style also has a fashion line that features jackets, hoodies, thermals, and sunglasses created in collaboration with the Japanese brand AndSuns. No stranger to teamwork, Claw Money took the nylon Nike Vandal, covered the hi-top hoop shoe with peacock feathers and added fat laces to create a shoe that is so functional and so funky.

This is the second Nike collabo for Claw Money and the first, Nike X Claw Money Blazer, were snapped up by cool female celebs like Cameron Diaz and ScarJo (Scarlett Johansson for the rest of y’all).

Sneaker Pimp: Harajuku Lovers Candy

Harajaku Lovers Candy sneakers
Harajuku Lovers Candy sneakers

Okay, so I’m still not over my Harajuku obsession. Usually I’m more of a stiletto fiend than a sneaker pimp, but I had to have these low-top Harajuku Lovers “Candy” sneakers. The cute graphic design and Japanese street style sucked me in. I fell in love with the creamy background, soft pink hearts and baby blue Japanese symbols.

If you prefer a high-top style, Harajuku Lovers has a great pair with a red contrast fold-down that reads “A Fatal Attraction to Cuteness”. The shoes come only in full sizes and tend to run a little large. I normally wear a 7.5 US and bought a size 8 which I had to exchange for a full size down. Such a cute confection of a shoe!
