I’m so eager for Spring because I can’t wait to wear one of my favorite things for the season…gladiator sandals.

I found this pair of gladiator sandals at Free People, but I’m torn in two directions. I love the textured leather straps and the goes-with-anything grey color, but I think the piece around the top of the foot looks like knee pads for your ankles.

On the other hand, I never shrink away from a shoe that makes a statement and I have a dozen little minidresses that these would be so boss with.

What do you think? Love ‘em or leave ‘em?

Charlize Theron looked radiant in a swingin’ fringed Dior dress at the premiere of her new movie Sleepwalking. Pairing the dress with flesh-toned Jimmy Choo platforms made the blonde actress look even more statuesque and is a good trick for making legs look a mile long.

A lot of times, fashion editors suggest flesh toned shoes but neglect to mention that not everyones “flesh” is the same tone. If you have a darker skin tone, try these flesh toned shoes on for size.

Georgina Goodman Carlie bootie

If I had to choose one shoe to wear for the rest of my life, it would be a boot. Knee high, booties, hip waders…doesn’t matter. Always with a heel. The Georgina Goodman “Carlie” bootie would most def make it to my closet. Supple leather and stitched cutouts give it a haphazard vintage look without being too precious. These boots were made for walking, indeed.

When it comes to mass market designers knocking off high-end designs, I’m sort of laissez-faire about it. Everyone can’t afford to spend $900 on a pair of shoes and styles tend to trickle down eventually anyway. But when I saw this Steve Madden “Chap” bootie, I almost couldn’t believe they had the gall to so brazenly rip the Christian Louboutin “Emily” bootie. If it wasn’t for the red sole, could you tell them apart?

The patent leather on cap toe of the Steve Madden bootie looks a little shinier and the buttons on the Madden are black instead of white. Oh, but there’s one more big difference…the Christian Louboutin’s are exclusive to net-a-porter and are only available on pre-order right now.

Kerry Washington in Tory Burch at the ACE Awards

Common’s girl and one of my favorite posh chicks, Kerry Washington, wore a silver Tory Burch minidress and silver Christian Louboutin peep toe pumps to the Accessories Council Excellence Awards in NYC.
