Are designers trying to hobble us? The NY Times recognized a Spring runway trend toward gravity-defying shoes that are long on innovation but short on comfort. Shoes from Chloe, Yves Saint Laurent, and Balenciaga all dipped into fetish-y territory with footwear that made me wonder if we’ll be walking or crawling next season.
