Sex and the City 2 Movie Trailer

The Sex and the City 2 movie trailer manages to whet our appetites while revealing absolutely nothing.

Beautiful clothes. Long shots of New York City. The desert?

Oooh turbans!

No matter what the trailer looks like or what the movie is about, I know we’re all going to go see it anyway.

Lady Gaga + David LaChapelle Photo Shoot for The Fame Deluxe

Lady Gaga + David LaChapelle photo shoot

When two artistic minds like Lady Gaga and David LaChapelle get together, only one thing can happen: nudity.

Pop star Lady Gaga and fashion photographer David LaChapelle teamed up for a nearly nude photo shoot. Like most Lady Gaga photo shoots, this one is full of sick wigs and interesting imagery like tricked out wheelchairs and crutches. Lady Gaga also pulled friend and sometime collaborator Kanye West into the mix for a damsel-in-distressed themed photo.

These photos will appear in the album artwork for the limited edition release of The Fame Monster, titled The Fame Deluxe.

Hotnessssss.

H&M Women’s Spring 2010 Lookbook

I just got used to it being winter in San Francisco (which isn’t really like winter at all) and I’m already dreaming about my spring wardrobe. The H&M Spring 2010 lookbook is out and it is full. of. WIN.

The white blazer: to be mix and matched and paired with everything from jeans to a floral dress. The gray, draped dress: perfect with a pair of spendy stilettos (go for the H&M Jimmy Choos). With great accessories like ethnic jewelry and très cool sunglasses, these H&M pieces are going to be the only affordable thing giving my wallet a break come spring.

Naomi Sims Life Magazine cover

Naomi Sims died from breast cancer at the age of 61 on Saturday, August 1, 2009. The Mississippi-born model was dubbed the “first black supermodel” and paved the way for other black models like Pat Cleveland and Naomi Campbell.

In 1968, Sims became the first black model to appear on the cover of Ladies Home Journal and also appeared on the covers on Life Magazine, Cosmopolitan, and Essence. She modeled for designers like Halston and Bill Blass and appeared in a national AT&T television commercial.

Sims was beloved by designers and as Halston told The New York Times in 1974: “Naomi was the first. She was the great ambassador for all black people. She broke down all the social barriers.”

After retiring from the runway, Sims started a successful wig-making business specializing in wigs for black women. She also began a cosmetics line and wrote several books and a teen advice column for Right On! magazine.
