When it comes to mass market designers knocking off high-end designs, I’m sort of laissez-faire about it. Everyone can’t afford to spend $900 on a pair of shoes and styles tend to trickle down eventually anyway. But when I saw this Steve Madden “Chap” bootie, I almost couldn’t believe they had the gall to so brazenly rip the Christian Louboutin “Emily” bootie. If it wasn’t for the red sole, could you tell them apart?

The patent leather on cap toe of the Steve Madden bootie looks a little shinier and the buttons on the Madden are black instead of white. Oh, but there’s one more big difference…the Christian Louboutin’s are exclusive to net-a-porter and are only available on pre-order right now.
