Rihanna’s new short haircut

If you had asked me a few years ago, I never would have thought Rihanna would turn out to be a style trendsetter, but she’s become quite the fashionista. She debuted a new short haircut at the NRJ Music Awards in Cannes, France. The new cut really shows off her long neck and sexy collarbone.

All these cute cuts from Rihanna and Keyshia Cole are almost making me want to take the scissors to my own do…almost.

Hot and healthy versus hungry and Botox-y

Things I loved: Splashes of vibrant color that made Vanessa Williams’ glow in a marigold column dress and Kyra Sedgwick look fabulously toned in a strapless electric blue number that showed off her amazing arms. Marion Cotillard for reinforcing my obsession with all things French.

Things I didn’t love: Eva Longoria in too much bridal white (loved the plunging cowl back though) and this for forcing me to wonder why Clay Aiken wore a skirt to the SAG Awards.

Keyshia Cole’s rocks a blonde do at MTV’s TRL

You know I love Keyshia Cole’s blonde hair and short do. The swoop bang softens her short cut and the white blonde with caramel highlights is très chic.

That said, I’m throwing the checkered flag on Keisha for her actual outfit. Game over. Did Neffie tell her it was the bizness to wear a corset dress over an attached wife beater over a t-shirt on top of black hose and some checkered flag shoes with a rope chain?

Fashion icon Coco Chanel advised women to get dressed and then take one thing off before leaving the house. In this case, she could stand to take off at least three things. Keyshia, you and your outfit are doing too much.

Beyonce Knowles upgraded her do with long, dark tresses styled with a center part. The pop princess made an appearance in Milan to launch Armani Diamonds perfume.

Her cranberry dress was pitch-perfect for the holidays and accessorized with layered chain link bracelets and a platform stiletto.

I love, love, LOVE Beyonce with dark hair.  Lemme upgrade you, indeed!

R&B artists Rihanna and Alicia Keys both chose black Armani for last night’s American Music Awards.

Rihanna wore a bubble skirted dress with an amazing crystallized bow bodice from Armani Privé while A. Keys chose a strappy Giorgio Armani halter dress dripping in black sequins and paired it with triple strapped stilettos.
