How does an avant garde designer translate her looks for the masses? We’re about to see when Rei Kawakubo goes to H&M. Commes de Garcons has been tapped as the next designer collection for H&M.

She’s doing the whole shebang — men, women, children, some accessories and a unisex perfume. I can’t wait to see little tykes in slashed and deconstructed onesies.

The collection is set to debut in November around the same time that H&M opens its first stores in the Ginza and Harajuku districts of Tokyo. If you have an H&M in your city, I am SO jealous of you right now.
